Building the MicroAces foundation

The current focus is making the miniature aircraft readable and fun before adding layers of content: stable XR placement, responsive flight, dogfight behavior, tracers, damage, a scalable aircraft pipeline, multiplayer architecture, and the Air Show commerce foundation.

DESIGN

Two visual languages, one studio

DreamZombie uses stark black-and-white pixel art as the studio layer: strange, compact, unmistakable. MicroAces deliberately breaks away into warm paper, brass, soot, orange signal paint, and 1920s aviation ephemera. The contrast helps each game feel independent while the studio identity stays recognizable.

DESIGN NOTE

The case for tiny worlds

XR gets more interesting when scale is treated as a mechanic. MicroAces puts an aircraft within arm’s reach before flight so the player can read pitch, roll, throttle, and gun behavior in the same physical space where the dogfight will unfold.
